Using the Emergency SMS Feature
In critical situations, speed and clarity are everything. Our Emergency SMS tool allows you to send vital information to everyone in the park—or specific groups—within seconds.
🚨 Accessing the Feature
The Emergency SMS tool is rights-based.
-
How to find it: Look for the red bell icon in your top navigation bar.
-
Missing the icon? If you do not see the red bell, your user profile does not have the required permissions. Please contact your manager to request access.
📱 Setting Your Audience
Once you click the red bell, a modal will appear. You have three main options for targeting your message:
-
All Guests in the Park: Sends the SMS to every checked-in guest.
-
Selected Guests: Allows you to filter or pick specific individuals.
-
Include Private Owners: Check this box if the emergency also affects permanent or private residents on-site.
Data Validation: The modal provides a real-time count of guests with valid phone numbers. You can also view a list of guests with missing phone numbers, allowing you to identify who might need to be reached via alternative methods (like a physical knock on the door).
🌐 Multi-Language Support & Translation
Communication is most effective in a guest's native tongue. Our system simplifies the translation process:
-
Auto-Detection: Write your initial message in any language. The system will automatically detect what you’ve written.
-
Language Requirements: The modal will display exactly how many languages the message needs to be translated into, based on the preferred languages set in the active guest reservations.
-
One-Click Translation: Click "Click to translate message" to instantly generate versions for all required languages.
-
Manual Review: You have full control. You can proofread and manually edit the translated text to ensure the tone and instructions are 100% accurate before hitting send.
📤 Sending the Message
After verifying the audience and the translations:
-
Perform a final review of the text.
-
Click Send.
-
The system will queue the messages for immediate delivery.
Pro Tip: Keep emergency messages concise. Focus on the Action (e.g., "Please gather at the assembly point") and the Location.
